Our state's DoD footprint plays an integral role in Missouri’s economy and the lives of many of its citizens. Fort Leonard Wood, Whiteman Air Force Base and the Missouri National Guard make up the largest share of the military footprint in Missouri, but we also are home to major defense agencies and contractor-operated facilities, as well as many other Reserve Component locations and stand along military missions.

Considering what is at stake, the MMPEC's military strategic plan is focused on identifying proactive steps to defend and enhance Missouri’s military assets. The initial strategic plan, identified specific strategies the state and its stakeholders could follow. However, conditions have changed over the past two years and MMPEC is interested implementing examples of best practices from other states and communities that show promise. By providing your ideas and advice, MMPEC will be able to have the best guidance possible as it charts its plan for the next two years.
