An estimated 6,000 to 7,000 men and women separate from the military at Missouri installations each year, or separate some other base and have a Missouri home of record. Anecdotal evidence indicates that only 1/3 of those who separate either stay in Missouri or come back to Missouri from another location.

The question for Missouri is: how do we do a better job of keeping and attracting these high quality citizens, and especially connecting them with jobs that require skills they have acquired in the military.
